I’ve had the opportunity to get a sneak preview of MI40X and see more of what you get. I’ll start by explaining what you see the moment you order and get access:

You’ll be guided to a download page immediately once you order this program. There you will see an introductory video in which Ben Pakulski gives you a brief explanation/overview to guide you through this program. He recommends following a specific sequence instead of jumping into the most advanced aspects of the training immediately. Ben knows his stuff, so I’d highly recommend you follow his advice here.
Here’s where I would normally try to describe every video and PDF file you get if you order. But there are so many individual components that I believe it would be a little overwhelming to do this. You get a lot of content when you order MI40X, so I think it is better to give you a summary/review in three parts: training, nutrition, and supplements. I’ll spend most of my time on the first part.
You are advised to start with the three-week primer phase (included in the program). This regimen is designed to get your body ready for the intensive training to come.
Phase 1&2 are high volume approaches to working out. You’ll be training each body part twice a week: one session will be using higher weight; the other will be emphasizing higher repetitions.
Phase 3 consists of a power and hypertrophy workouts with heavier weights (higher % of your one-rep max).
Phase 4 consists of strength training.
Phase 5 is dealoading–workouts designed to give your muscles and central nervous system a chance to rest and recover
Phase 6 is overreaching--a carefully planned “over-training” phase since you have just finished deloading.
Phase 7 is a hyper recovery phase. There’s not much training involved with this phase (as the name might imply).
The entire program is 18 weeks, so it’s a pretty good deal for your money (especially if you compare what it would cost to hire a personal trainer).
You’ll have the option of downloading different printable workout sheets to guide you through these according your level of experience. There’s one for “natural” (beginner), “graduate” (intermediate), and “pro” (advanced).
C.E.P. is a concept you probably aren’t familiar with, so I’ll spend a little more time explaining this. C.E.P stands for Cell Expansion Protocol. Here’s the idea: muscle cells are unique in that they have more than one nuclei (most of our cells only have a single nucleus). The number of nuclei in your muscle cells is directly related to your ability to recover from training and build size/strength. Certain types of stress/tension are able to cause satellite cells to “donate” additional nuclei to muscle cells. Ben shows you how to take advantage of this in MI40X. There are four principles/techniques explained. You’ll use these throughout your training. There are 10 videos explaining the science behind this, and there is a 118 page guide to explain the training methods.
There’s also a downloadable video library to guide you through the other aspects of the training. It is organized according to body parts. This still shot below is of the chest training video:
I’ve always been impressed with Ben’s videos. The instruction he gives is second to none, and there’s something about watching a video that is more motivating (and educational) than just reading a guide.
Needless to say, you have to eat properly if you want to get big, strong and lean. MI40X includes several nutrition guides to help you do this. One unique aspect of this program is that the guides are customized to both your goals and to the specific phase of training you are doing.
MI40X comes with a complete supplement guide. Here’s my advice: don’t sweat it if you don’t have a lot of money to spend on supplements or don’t want to buy the specific brands Ben recommends. Stick to basics (protein powder, creatine monohydrate, a multi-vitamin, and maybe branch-chain amino acids) and use reputable brands you’ve had good experiences with. The brands Ben recommends will be fine, but nutrition and training are much more important than supplements.
Is MI40X (Mass Intentions Extreme 2.0) right for you? I think you need to ask yourself three questions:
1. Are you willing to prepare? You need to be willing to invest some time downloading and looking over the materials, investing in good food, etc.
2. Are you willing to train hard? These workouts will be effective, but they won’t be easy.
3. Are you willing to follow through? You’ll need to be willing to follow the instructions methodically, not skipping from one thing to the next and trusting the process. Remember this: a great deal of research went into designing this program.
If you answered “yes” to these three questions I think you’d find MIX40 to be a worthwhile investment. I have reviewed dozens of workout programs, and this is one of the most impressive I’ve ever seen (both in quality and quantity of what you get). It isn’t cheap, but remember this: the program is 18 weeks. That’s about 11 dollars a week (for the basic package)–about the same price as a couple of trips to a fast food restaurant or a movie. Chances are you’re already spending that kind of money on stuff that doesn’t help your physique.
